Richard Oxton confirmed for debut TFM 430 GT3 drive
Trass Family Motorsport is proud to announce Richard Oxton as the driver of TFM's 430 GT3 in it's debut competition as part of the New Zealand Endurance Drivers Championship being held at Hampton Downs this Saturday.
Team Principal Gerald Trass states "It has been a cautious build-up for the team in determining whether the 430 GT3 will be ready for competition in this weekends endurance event, but successful testing and confidence in Richard as a driver is what has allowed to get here and the team is very excited."
Richard Oxton becomes team-mate to Sam Fillmore and Danny Studderd competing in TFM's record holding Ferrari 458 GT3. Whilst Fillmore and Studderd will contest the 3-Hour NZ Endurance Drivers Championship title, Oxton will contest the 1-Hour NZ Endurance Drivers Championship title in Saturdays racing.
Prior to testing for Trass Family Motorsport in the Ferrari 430 GT3 chassis, Oxton gained experience with TFM during 2015 in their Ferrari 430 Challenge as part of last years North Island Endurance Series.
Richard has also proven his ability in sprint-based Motorsport through seasons of competition in the Castrol BMW Race Driver Series. Having raced on four-wheels from an early age, Richard has followed in the competitive footsteps of his well-known father David Oxton.
Mentored by his father David, Oxton hopes to deliver a positive result with Trass Family Motorsport in the Ferrari 430 GT3 this weekend.
